Aside from being one of Beretta Jane’s founding members, drummer Roobyn is the band’s main spokesman, and President of Kriminal, L.L.C., an independent record label based in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2001, Roobyn joined forces with Evan Via, Brent Allen and Danny Vanity, who have introduced Mickey Valentine as the band’s new vocalist, creating Beretta Jane (formerly known as Havok in Hollywood/Gold Mind Squad).Roobyn has spent much of the last 12 years behind his drum kit pursuing a dream that he’s been chasing since childhood. Over the last 6 years, Roobyn and the boys have made their mark on the Mid-Atlantic, sharing the stage with the likes of Coldplay, AFI, Good Charlotte, Billy Idol, Foo Fighters, Counting Crows, and more. Furthermore, the band is also consistently the top selling independent artist in their home state of Maryland, even outselling a majority of major label artists at all area “Record and Tape Traders” stores.

Roobyn’s influences range from the modern era of drummers, such as Morgan Rose (Sevendust), Shannon Larkin (Godsmack) and Lars Ulrich (Metallica) to some of the greatest classic drummers of all time, including John Bonham (Led Zeppelin), Phil Collins (Genesis) and Buddy Rich, the king of the big bands.

Beretta Jane is currently writing and recording music for the band’s 6th studio album, and the 1st with new vocalist Mickey Valentine. The currently untitled record is slated for an early 1st quarter 2008 release. Beretta Jane is on the cusp of breaking into the national scene in
